I am a retired member of the greatest Fire Department in the world. As an active member of the FDNY, I worked in several units and capacities. The most rewarding of which was when I became the Office Manager of the FDNY Office of Recruitment and Diversity where at the time, we were responsible for recruiting the most diverse population candidate pool for the position of Firefighter in the history of the FDNY. I then joined a group of Fire Department members to include Fire Officers, EMS Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Civilians in the FDNY Exploring Program as a Post Advisor. This program is a Mentorship Program designed to encourage young people between the ages of 14 to 21 to become community leaders, develop strong character, live disciplined life’s and develop organizational skills. I attended both the College of Staten Island and Medgar Evers College in pursuit of a degree in Business Administration.

I relish the opportunity to be involved in the efforts to introduce young people to the idea of a musical life. It is my honor and privilege to serve the New York Metropolis Group, Inc. in this very important mission, and with that said, I wholeheartedly accept the position of Chairperson of the Board of Directors. There was once a time when Drum and Bugle Corps. Was the backbone of our community. I hope to help bring back that sense of pride, character and discipline that Drum Corps. provided.
I look forward to hitting the ground running.
